Ricky Arnold Lewis

Ricky Arnold Lewis, 65, originally of Stacy, passed away peacefully at his home in Beaufort, surrounded by family on Sunday, November 4, 2018 after a long battle with lung cancer.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm , Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Stacy Community Cemetery with Rev. Paul Gillikin officiating.

Ricky was born on September 6, 1953 to Wilbert and Sarah Lewis. Growing up in a military family Ricky lived in various places around the country. They finally settled back down in Stacy when he was in the 8th grade. He graduated from East Carteret High School in 1972. He loved spending time on the water, however he was happiest when surrounded by his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his fiancée, Kathy Hunnings of the home; his son, Christopher Lewis and fiancée, Lindsay Haynes of Hubert; daughter, Laura Clark and husband Robbie of Beaufort; step-son, Jesse Chaplain, Jr. and wife Courtney of Harkers Island; sister, Joan Boyd and husband Bill of Stacy; brother, Darrell of Stacy; sister, Cheryl Wells and husband Larry of Beaufort; grandchildren, Madison Partyka, Hannah Lewis, Brooke-Lynn Wade, Carter Chaplain and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by, his parents, Wilbert and Sarah, and his favorite dog companion, Sammy.

The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Munden Funeral Home.
