Richard "Dick" Lee Newton

Richard "Dick" Newton, 79, of Newport, died Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at his home with family.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday at St. James United Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Supplee officiating.
He is survived by his wife Susan Newton of the home; two daughters Susan Elaine Davis and husband Bobby of Frankfort, IN, and Sarah Matthews of Silverdale, WA; four sons Jeff Newton and wife Chris of Kokomo, IN, Larry Newton and wife Deanna of Kokomo, IN, Rick Newton and wife Missy of Kokomo, IN, and Daniel Newton and wife Chrystina of Hopewell, VA; thirteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one sister Janet Eaton of Fort Myers, FL; and one brother Jacque Newton of Holly Hill, FL.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Barbara Waters Newton, son Darren Newton, parents Maurice and Lawanna Newton, and a brother Gene Newton.
Family will receive friends following the service.
