Richard Kimbell "Ratch" Willis, 47, of Harkers Island, died Thursday, December 29, 2011 at his home.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Sanderlin of Beaufort; mother, Nancy Willis of Dinwiddie, VA; daughter, Melissa Sanderlin and fiance' Donovan of Harkers Island; son, Jacob Willis of Beaufort; grandson, Jonathan Sanderlin; two brothers, Timothy Willis and wife Linda of Harkers Island and Jasper Willis and wife Cynthia of Dinwiddie, VA; aunt, Stella Morris of Harkers Island; uncle, Tennie Willis of Harkers Island; also many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Autry Willis, and a nephew, Christopher Willis.
