Richard Edward Whaley, 69, of Mill Creek, died Tuesday May 22, 2012, at his home.
A memorial service will be held 7:30 pm Thursday at Mt . Pleasant Free Will Baptist Church in Mill Creek, with Rev. Douglas Randall officiating.
He is survived by wife Kay Whaley of the home: daughters Katie Jenkins and husband Kerry of Mill Creek: Jodie Randall and husband Douglas of Mill Creek: son Randy Whaley of Mill Creek: four grandchildren Amy Randall, Richard Randall, Hannah Lewis, and Lindsay Lewis: sisters Frances Lilly of Mill Creek, Mary Dowdy of Mill Creek, and Brenda Harvey of Texas: brothers Hugh Whaley Jr., of Newport, and Johnny Whaley of Mill Creek.
Visitation will be held 6:00 pm Thursday prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the FWB Children's Home Inc. PO Box 249, Middlesex, NC 27557.
