Richard Leo Norris, 52, of Broad Creek, died Friday, July 09, 2010 at Carolina East Medical Center.
Mr. Norris was employed with SPX (Hankinson) for over 30 years. He was an avid golfer and a die-hard Tarheel fan, a loving father and grandfather.
Services will be held 2 pm Tuesday, at Broad Creek United Methodist Church with Revs. Ben Ball and Donnie Griggs officiating. Interment will follow at Broad Creek Community Cemetery.
He is survived by his son Brandon Norris and wife Kelly of Hope Mills, daughter Lydia Norris of Morehead City; step-daughter Stephanie Skrabacz of Cedar Point; girlfriend and loving companion Brenda Freeman of Morehead City; sister Shelia Morton and husband Milon of Broad Creek; brother Douglas Norris and wife Lou Ann of Emerald Isle; grandchildren Brylee Stere, Shelia and Sara Skrabacz; niece Andrea Phillips and husband Mike and their daughter Taylor of Hubert; nephew Tony Morton and wife Sommer and their children Jacob, Emma, and Jack, and his best friend, Robert Lewis.
The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Monday at Munden Funeral Home.
