Richard James Streath

Master Sergeant Richard James Streath, USMC Retired, 70, of Harlowe, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023, at his residence.

Services for Richard will be held at later date.

Richard was born on September 16, 1952, in Queens, New York, to the late Peter and Sally Streath. He was a loving husband of 35 years, loving father and grandfather.

He was very proud of serving in the United States Marine Corps for 22 years and retiring as a Master Sergeant. He later went into the Civil Service at Cherry Point and retired from there as a warehouse manager. He was very proud of being a member of the AA Chapter in Havelock where he was sober for 15 years.

Those left to treasure his memory are his wife, Ronda Streath; daughter, Jeanette Felder of Havelock; son, Stephen Felder of Havelock; sister, Cathy Hand of Newport; brother, Michael Streath of New Bern; grandchildren, Caleb Flaville, Halie Carr and Katlyn Carr; and nieces, Mary Bianchi and Eileen.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
