Richard Earl Farlee, 88, of Beaufort, went to be with the Lord Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Carteret Health Care.

His Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Ann Street United Methodist Church at 417 Ann Street, Beaufort, NC, officiated by Reverend Taylor Mills. Interment will follow at Carteret Memorial Gardens with Military Honors and Masonic Rites.

Dick was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.  Richard was a retired Marine, Korean War Veteran, retired from Aviation Fuel Terminals and self employed Clock repair (Clockworks).

Richard was a member of the Ann Street United Methodist Church, Beaufort. He was a member of the Franklin Masonic Lodge 109, Beaufort, NC, the Scottish Rite, the Shriners, VFW Post 2401, Beaufort, NC, and American Legion.

He is survived by his wife:  Barbara Bennett Farlee of the home; daughter:  Shirley Farlee Watkins and husband Randall of Bettie; son:  Richard “Rick” E. Farlee and wife Sandra of Statesville, NC; sisters:  Elma Rake of Titusville, NJ; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents:  Joseph Earl Farlee and Elsie Wooters Farlee; sisters:  Dorothy Smith, Marion Horvat; brother:  Alvin Farlee.

Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Ann Street United Methodist Church, 417 Ann Street, Beaufort, NC 28516.

Family welcomes flowers or memorials may be made to the Franklin Masonic Lodge 109, 109 Professional Park Dr., Beaufort, NC 28516.
