Reverend Beth Eileen Curtis

Reverend Beth Eileen Curtis, 84, of Beaufort, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Carteret Health Care.

Beth was born on April 19, 1940, in Kansas City, Missouri, to the late Lawrence and Mildred Helms. As a licensed Unity teacher, Beth served as Spiritual Leader for the Unity Church of Castro Valley, California from 1995 until 1997. Then Beth attended the Unity Ministerial Education program at Unity Village, Missouri. She graduated and was ordained in June 1999. She was the first full-time minister at Crystal Coast Unity Church in Morehead City (now in Atlantic Beach).

Beth retired from full-time ministry in 2015. She continued to perform destination weddings until 2020. She has enjoyed full retirement until her passing.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her husband, Charles William Curtis of Beaufort, N.C.; daughter, Diane Rose and husband Brian Rose; grandson, Carter Rose and wife Amelia Rose; great-grandson, William Rose; granddaughters, Taylor Rose, Nicole Reed and husband Taylor Reed; and great-granddaughter, Emory Claire Reed.

In addition to her parents, Beth was preceded in death by her son, Mark Drake and daughter-in-law, Linda Drake.
