Rell Lee Stanley, 78, of Newport, died Tuesday March 5, 2013 at Carteret General Hospital.

He is survived by his wife Gaynell Stanley of the home: children Sandra Runyon, Edith Louise McCarthy, and Tamri Caulk of Louisville, KY, Judy Yvette Edmiston of McAndrews, KY, Zandra Blanton of Sidney, KY, Rhonda Thomas of Newport, NC, Kristy Bevins of Canada, KY, and Heather Coates of Newport, NC: four sisters Sara Allred of Pantsville, OH, Lola Pacfic of Belfry, KY, Alice Faye Hogland of Loraine, OH, and Mary Ann McCoy of Belfry. KY: 30 grandchildren: 23 great grandchildren: and numerous nephews and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his parents Trimble and Matilda "Pinson" Stanley, first wife Sally Jane Wolford, four children Douglas Stanley, Rhonda Chapman, Drema Kenealy, and Michael Stanley, four brothers William "Bill" Stanley, Ronald Stanley, Donald Stanley, and Roy Stanley, and three sisters Janet "Sis" Patterson, Nancy Sue Fitzpatrick, and Ruby Stanley.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Children's Miracle Network PO Box 8369 Greenville, NC 27835-8369.
