Raymond Earl Jones, Jr., 56, of Newport, passed away Monday, July 8, 2019, at Vidant Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 12, 2019, at Munden Funeral Home, officiated by Dr. Robert Langley.
He retired from civil service at Cherry Point.
He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Young and husband Kevin of Jacksonville; step-son, Josh South and wife Brooke of Newport; mother, Jo-Ann Pierce and husband Roger of Newport; brothers, Perry Jones of Florida, Jody Jones of Newport, and Shawn Jones and wife, Melanie of Swansboro; and grandchildren, Elijah Young, Lily Young and Noah Young.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Earl Jones, Sr.
Flowers are welcome.
The family will receive friends following the service at Munden Funeral Home.
