Raymond O. Clayton, 74, of Newport, died Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Carteret General Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Clayton of the home; three daughters, Kathy Clayton of Massachusetts, Lisa Fernandize of Florida, and Kristine Clayton of Newport; son, Raymond Fernandize of Massachusetts; and five grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 514 Daniels St, # 109, Raleigh, NC 27605.
