Randell "Randy" K. Waters

Randell K. Waters, resident of Bayonne, NJ, passed away peacefully at the VA Hospital, East Orange, NJ on Sunday, May 10th 2020, he was 62.

His memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 11, 2020, at Cape Carteret Baptist Church, officiated by Steve Petty and Ken Saleeby. A private interment will follow at Peletier First Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends are welcome to attend the service. For those unable to attend, the family invites you to view the webcasting of the service through his obituary page on Munden Funeral Home’s website. In keeping with the CDC guidelines pertaining to the Coronavirus, those who are ill or at-risk (elderly, immune-compromised) are encouraged to stay home. Additionally, there will be a limit to the number of people in the building at one time, as well, those who attend will be asked to bring and wear a protective mask. Help us honor the family while practicing safe measures. Friends are also encouraged to leave words of comfort to the family through the website.

Randy served in the US Navy from 1976-1980 aboard the USS Fiske-DD 842 home ported in Bayonne. He was the IMTT Pipeline Manager for many years.

Randell was the devoted husband of 40 years to Maria (Tazzetto), loving father to Brian, loving father-in-law to Melissa, loving grandpa/pop-pop to Miranda, Raylan and Scarlett who he loved unconditionally, dear son to Frances and Ronald Waters, brother to Wayne (Gloria), Jeff (Nikki) and Christopher all of North Carolina and a host of family and friends who were always family to us. Son-in-law to the late Christina (Lefante) & Anthony Tazzetto and loved by his brother-in-law Eugene (Johnna) Amy Miceli (Nick) Bob Casterline and pre-deceased by Rosemary. Randy also had a godchild Anthony J. Tazzetto who he loved unconditionally.

A special thank-you to ALL on the spinal cord unit at the VA Hospital for the love they showed Randy in my absence at the time of his passing. Thank you to Pam and Astor his home care nurses for all their love and patience.
