Rachel Pearl (Morton) Willis

March 10, 1920 — April 29, 2014

Rachel Morton Willis, 94, of Morehead City, went to be with the Lord on  Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Carteret General Hospital.

Her memorial service will be held at Munden Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 am Saturday, May 3rd, 2014 with Rev. Tom Supplee officiating.

Mrs. Willis was born on March 10, 1920 in Maysville, NC to Eudora and Jim Morton. She was a 1937 graduate of Morehead City High School. She greatly enjoyed her life as a homemaker. Her family was the joy of her life. She loved providing delicious meals for them and doing anything else she could for them.

She is survived by three children; Danny Willis and wife Sybil, Bill Willis, and Mike Willis all of Morehead City; one granddaughter, Gwen Garner and husband David of Morehead City, four grandsons; Daniel Willis and wife Melissa of Swansboro, Lloyd Willis and wife, Windy of Greenwood, SC, Nathan Willis and wife Katie of Newport and Ryan Willis of Morehead City, two great granddaughters, Hailey Willis and McKenzie Willis, and five great grandsons, Jonathan Garner, Owen Willis, and Aiden Willis, Tanner Willis and Colin Willis.

Mrs. Willis was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Daniel Lee Willis, her parents Eudora and Jim Morton, and brother Johnny Morton.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Munden Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Morehead City Fire Department 4034 Arendell St. Morehead City, NC 28557.
