Polly Tillman

Polly Tillman, 81, of Cape Carteret, died Monday, March 1, 2010, at her home.
Mrs. Tillman served as the School of Nursing Program Director at Craven, Carteret and Lenoir Community Colleges, was Education Director of Oak Manor, Inc. in Kinston and Chairman of Health Occupations at Guilford Tech Institute in Greensboro. She was a charter member of Sigma Theta Tau Chapter at Duke University.
A gathering of family and friends will be held 4:00 - 6:00 pm Saturday at Munden Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Harvey E. Tillman of Cape Carteret; daughter, Kathleen Tillman Johnson and husband Clay of Fayetteville; sons, Harvey "Eddie" Tillman, II of Houston, TX and Glenn Tillman and wife Tina of Cape Carteret; brother, R.L. Chandler, and wife Valerie of Lake Norman; grandchildren, Glenn Tillman, II, Chandler Tillman, Kathleen Tillman, Ellen Tillman, Heath Tillman, and Brantley Johnson and numerous nieces and nephews.
