Phyllis Dawn Willis,80 , of Harkers Island, died Friday, April 26, 2013 at Carteret General Hospital.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Harkers Island with Bishop Kevin Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at Red Hill Cemetery.
She is survived by three daughters Marla Lawrence and husband Kent of Harkers Island, Mikal Fulp and husband Larry of Harlowe, and Marianne Lawrence and husband Dwayne of Beaufort : a son Monty Willis and wife Luz of Morehead City: sixteen grandchildren Christopher Willis, Jessica Baracos, Tate Lawrence, Megan Smith, Lindsey Fodrie, Paige Willis, Austin Lawrence, Macy Gillikin, Reid Fulp, Reis Fulp, Mariah Gillikin, Riley Lawrence, Justin Willis, Rianne-Kelly Fulp, Nathan Thomas, and Clay Thomas: four step grandchildren Courtney Ross, Brandon Carter, Eric Lawrence, and Aaron Lawrence: twenty-five great grandchildren Tyler Baracos, Brooke Lawrence, Taylor Lawrence, Marlee Smith, Makenna Smith, Alex Lawrence, Ashton Lawrence, Maleah Smith, Nicholas Baracos, Shelby Willis, Michael Smith, Chandler Gillikin, Conner Gillikin, Kenan Gillikin, Rafe Fodrie, Caelyn Gillikin, Tyler Willis, Erica Fulp, Carly Gillikin, Kenly Gillikin, Mali Peck, Zoey Fulp, Luke Fodrie, Logan Fulp, and Kelly Fulp: two step great grandchildren Chandler Dixon, and Emma Lawrence: and one sister Frances Anglesey of Utah.
She was preceded in death by her parents Telford and Gertrude Willis, husband William Reed Willis, son MacRae Willis, grandchild Madison Thomas, great grandchild Sydney Grace Fodrie, step grandchild Davin Fulford, step great grandchild Ethan Fulford, brothers Guy Willis, and Bert Willis, sisters Margaret Willis, Joyce Fulford, and Carol Lawrence.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Harkers Island.
