Phyllis Willett Fulcher, 69, of Atlantic, passed away Friday, November 3, 2017 at Carteret Health Care.

Her funeral service will be held Monday, November 6, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Atlantic United Methodist Church, officiated by Reverend Jack Colenda. Interment will follow at Over the Brook Cemetery in Atlantic.

Phyllis was known by many because of her position as postmaster in Sea Level. She retired from there after 24 years of faithful service. She was a very giving and generous person to both her family and community. Phyllis loved to volunteer at the Atlantic United Methodist Church as well as Pruitt Health Care.  Her grandchildren were a highlight of her life and she loved spending time with them.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Fulcher of the home; daughter, Sherri Fulcher Guthrie and husband, Kelly of Harkers Island; son, Michael B. Fulcher, Jr. and wife, Leigh of Smyrna; mother, Jean Willett of Atlantic; twin sister, Patricia Smith and husband, Stephen of Atlantic; mother-in-law, Alma Fulcher; sister-in-law, Diana Wright; grandchildren, Charles Michael Fuchs and wife, Lindsey, Hayden Fulcher, Dylan Goodwin, Lexi Fulcher, Tinley Guthrie; great-granddaughter, Charlotte Fuchs; nieces, Ginny Willis and family, Natalie Feck and family; nephew, James Wright and family; special friends, Pat Willis, Sue Martin, and Ruby Lucas.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Bruce Willett and niece, Patricia Aliene Smith.

Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Atlantic United Methodist Church.
