Phillip "Flip" Hopper
February 8, 1943 — March 11, 2017
Phillip “Phil” “Flip” Michael Hopper, 74, of Indian Beach, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017 at his home.
His memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Christian Hoyle officiating.
Phil was a kind and loving husband and father. He was a gentle soul who loved to fish, watch NASCAR, loved to cook, loved to build and was good with his hands. He was very musically inclined and enjoyed singing.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Hopper of the home; daughter, Michelle Hoyle and husband Christian of Hilliard, FL; step-daughter, Susan Dorn of Winston-Salem; step-son, Danny Vernon and wife Karis of Southhaven, MS; sister, Bonnie Hopper Moore of Eden; twelve grandchildren, Joshua Hoyle and wife Maitlyn, Jonathan Hoyle, Abigail Hoyle, Bethany Hoyle, Nathan Hoyle, Caleb Hoyle, Joseph Hoyle, Jordan Hoyle, Emily Hoyle, Lauren Vernon, Daniel Vernon, and Jack Vernon; and one great-grandchild, PepperAnn Hoyle.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Angie Hopper; parents, Albert T. and Mary Elliott Hopper; and a step-son, Tommy Talley.
The family will receive friends following the service at Munden Funeral Home.
