Phillip was born May 12, 1990, in New Bern, North Carolina. He really enjoyed his work as a pool installer. Those who knew Phillip would consider him an old soul with a great sense of humor. He was a deep thinker whose ideas fueled his creative side. Reading/writing poetry and songs, as well as singing while playing his guitar were his passion. He was an avid horticulturist whose true home was in nature where he loved fishing, woodworking, or just exploring. He was someone who loved to travel and fell in love with many different places. Phillip’s greatest joy and fulfillment in life were his two little girls, Kassidy and Avery.
He is survived by his daughter, Kassidy Bazen and Avery Bazen, both of Havelock; mother, Lorena Hill and husband Jimmie of New Bern; father, Robert Bazen Sr. and his wife Michelle of Havelock; sister, Amanda Taylor and husband Michael of Havelock, Kaitlyn Hill of New Bern, Ruthie McLeroy of Georgia, and Hollie Kula of Florida; brothers, Robert Bazen Jr. and wife Megan of Havelock and Joseph Michael Hernandez of Havelock; niece, Jade Bazen of Havelock; and nephew, Lando Taylor of Havelock.
Family will receive friends from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at the home of Robert Bazen, Jr.
