Peter "Pete" George Davis

Peter “Pete” George Davis, 79, of Morehead City, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 at his home.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Glad Tidings Church, officiated by Pastor Tim Marriner and Rector John Grayson. Interment will follow at the North River United Methodist Cemetery with military honors.
Pete honorably served in the United States Army. He worked faithfully for the State of North Carolina Department of Transportation from which he retired.
He is survived by Mary M. Davis of the home; daughter, Mary Katherine Worthington of Newport and her children, Rebecca Melicent Melke, Xavier Jordan Davis, and Savannah Allison Worthingston, Faith Neveah Williams; and daughter, Lillian Ann Wildes of Jackson, GA and her children, Shawn Greggory Leonard, Julianna Louise Wildes and Harry Julian Wildes, V; brothers, Gus Louis Davis, Jr. and wife, Jackie, of Morehead City, Louis James Davis and wife, Pat, of Morehead City, William John Davis and wife, Kathy, of Morehead City; sister-in-law, Marshia Sontag and husband, Roy, of Vanceboro; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gus and Katherine Davis.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City.
