Peter Bricker

Peter Dock Bricker lll, of Pine Knoll Shores, died on Thursday, September 3, 2010, in Fayetteville, N.C. He was killed instantly when struck by a car as he walked across the street.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Burrows Bricker, son Tom Bricker of Pelham Manor, NY, his daughter, Lisa Fields, of Lakeville, MA, and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Pam Bricker.

Mr. Bricker was a graduate of Bucknell University and received his PHD from Johns Hopkins University in 1954. He was employed for 30 years by Bell Labs in New Jersey and later for Lucent.

His military service was with the United States Army in South Korea.

He retired in 1993 to Pine Knoll Shores where he was active with his trombone in the Sunshine Band and the Morehead Brass Consortium. Peter also volunteered his services to the Broad St. Clinic in Morehead City for many years.

A private gathering to honor his life will be held for family and friends at a later date.
