Peggy Laney Thornburg, 79, of Morehead City, passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.
Per the family request services will be private.
Peggy was an avid golfer, loved playing bridge, the beach, and shelling.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Franklin Thornburg of the home; daughter, Melissa George and partner, Ginny Pospisil of Morehead City; son, Michael Glenn Thornburg of Morehead City; brother, Henry “Big Mike” Laney of Winston Salem; four grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and her faithful four legged companion, Ottis and her freind and caregiver Stormy Gilbert;also close friend and companion Sheila Williams.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Chella Laney Harden.
