Peggy Avon Rouse, 72, of Kinston, died Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at her home.
The family and church will conduct a memorial service 7:00 pm Thursday at Peoples Free Will Baptist Church in Kinston with Rev. Gene Futrell officiating. Visitation will follow. Interment will be 11:30 Friday at Bratcher Family Cemetery in Beaufort.
She is survived by her husband Richard Rouse of Kinston; four daughters Jennifer Parker and husband William, III of Deep Run, Eileena Pate of Vanceboro, Teresa Williams and husband Jim of Kinston, and Rebecca Rouse and husband Johnny of Kinston; one son Floyd Thomas Bratcher of Kinston; grandchildren Melissa Parker of Kinston, William Andrew Parker, IV of Grifton, Kendall Dail Pate of Kinston, Brandon Allen Pate of Vanceboro, Bobby Steven Jones, II of Kinston, Dustin Kade Williams of Kinston, Nicky Lee Jones of Kinston, Ashley Mae Pate of Kinston, Pamela Kim Franko of Beulahville, Melissa Jean Osegueda of Raleigh, Kenneth Ray Jones of Kinston,Timothy Wayne Jones of Kinston, Christopher John Rouse of Raleigh, Craig Brandon Penny of Kinston, Miranda Elizabeth Davis of New York, and Joshua Wayne Davis of Deep Run; 33 great grandchildren; three brothers Bert ONeal Hardy of Bridgeton, Buddy Dean Hardy of Goldsboro, and Randy Boyd Hardy of Kentucky; and three sisters Sandra Lytle of Old Fort, Judy Golden of Broad Creek, and Mary Hardy of South River.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bennie and Etta Hardy, a daughter Alvina Deaver, and stepmother Helen Shepard.
Visitation is 10:00-11:00 am Friday at Munden Funeral Home.
