Peggy Jean Dixon Rolison, 80, of Columbia, SC, formerly of Beaufort, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2015 at home

Peggy had an unfathomable love for her family and all children. She was a loving homemaker for years and taught Sunday School as well as Pioneer Girls at Central Alliance Church in High Point, NC. When her girls were grown, she went to work at Weslyan Child Development Center as a Preschool Teacher. Then when her 4-year old grandson Matthew was diagnosed with cancer, Peggy spent most of her time there in South Carolina, helping the family, praying over Matthew even asking strangers to pray for him. During the two-years of his illness, "Grandma Peggy" gave of herself selflessly and helped care for his baby sister Bonnie and the family; many times she was the strongest one of all.
Peggy is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Rolison Leonard of Florida, and Janine Rolison Bryan of South Carolina; four grandchildren, Tanya Schoenherr, Tara Lenardi, Chaz Leonard, and Bonnie Bryan; and sister, Jessie Pittman of High Point.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Ron Rolison; and by her loving grandson, Matthew Thomas Bryan; and sisters, Alta Bishop Turner, Mae Oakley, and Sue Simpson.
In lieu of flower's donations may be made to Camp Kemo 7 Richland Memorial Park Dr. Columbia SC. 29201. In memory of her grandson Matthew Bryan.
The family will receive friends one prior to the service at the church.
