Pearl Cox Mann, age 94, was called home to join her Savior and many other loved ones on October 26, 2015.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Munden Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
During WWII Pearl contributed to the war effort working in a national defense facility in San Diego. While there she met and married a handsome sailor and returned with him to his home in Newport, North Carolina, where they farmed and raised their 3 children. Pearl also was loved by hundreds of school children at Camp Glen Elementary School where she helped prepare and serve nutritious lunches for many years.
Pearl is survived by her 3 children: Ronald Eugene Mann and wife Bea of Bridge Creek, Oklahoma; Michael Dwayne Mann and wife Carol of Newport, NC; and Pamela Mann Eborn and husband Roy of New Bern, NC; 9 grandchildren, Rhonda Mann, Anita Mann, Rachael Bateman, Myki Rudd, Sarah Rudd, Kathryne Mann Capps (fiancé Jayson Troball), Rebecca Mann Warren (husband Joey), Rodney Eborn (wife Wendy) and Deborah Eborn Husk (husband Samuel); and 6 great grandchildren, Kelsey White, Jasmine Bateman, Jeffrey Bateman, Maggie Bateman, Lauren Shutts, and Hannah Shutts. She is also survived by her dearest friends Bea Dixon and Mary Dickson.
She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Bernice Allen; a granddaughter, Andrea Mann Shutts; a grandson, Michael Andrew Mann, and eight siblings.
The family will receive friends at Munden Funeral Home 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, October 28. 2015.
