Pauline (Jennings) Pettipas

Pauline Jennings Pettipas, 79, of Newport, died Monday, February 23, 2015 at her home.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Reece's Chapel with Rev. James Chadwick officiating.
Pauline was an active member of Reece's Chapel for 20 years and served on the building committee. She loved to fish, cook, and tend to her own yard as well as the church's yard. She held the women's state record for King Mackerel, reeling in a 36 1/2 pounder from shore using 12 pound test line.
She is survived by three sons Larry L. Olewine, Jr. and wife Cheryl of Newport, John Mark Pettipas and wife Wanda Jean of Newport, and David Paul Pettipas of Fayetteville, NC; a sister Evelyn Hutchinson and husband "Hutch" of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren Michelle Lynn Wallace and husband Gary, Jonathan Michael Olewine and wife Cassy, Jessica Danielle Olewine, Robert Cody Olewine, Darlynn Marie Pettipas, Caitlyn Pettipas, and Mark Barthelomew; four great grandchildren; and a niece Nan Forrester.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years David Cole Pettipas, and parents Paul Jennings and Eva Stout.
