Paula (Berry) Lewis

Paula Lewis, 71, of Newport, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Crystal Coast Hospice House.
A memorial service will be held 4:00 pm Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Munden Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Linebarger officiating.
Paula Lewis was born in Hull, England in 1944 during the end of the second World War. The daughter of a fisherman, she was always drawn to the sea. After her 18th birthday, Paula set off for America to start an exciting new adventure and ultimately settled in Morehead City. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She attended Open Door Baptist Church, and was a member of the Red Hat Society.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest G. Lewis of the home; two sons, Jim O'Keefe and wife Jennifer of Raleigh, and Tom O'Keefe and wife Perri of Maryland; step-son, Ernest G. Lewis, Jr. and wife Tammy of Beaufort; step-daughter, Tamatha C. Lewis of Morehead City; two grandchildren, Tiffany O'Keefe, and Colin O'Keefe; and two step-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Gillikin and Dylan James Reed Lewis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Florence Berry.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
