Paul W Jennings, 93, of Morehead City, passed away Thursday, January 31­, 2019, at his home.

His funeral service, with military honors, will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 10, 2019, at First United Methodist, officiated by Rev. Patrick Whaley.

Mr. Jennings served in the United States Merchant Marines and then in the United States Coast Guard for 16 years, he retired after 30 years of service. He was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Morehead City. Mr. Jennings loved going to the Senior Center and enjoyed being involved in all their activities.

He is survived by his daughter, Joyce V. Smith of Morehead City; son, Richard W. Jennings and wife Debra of Stella; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jennings; son, Paul L. Jennings; and parents, Willie and Mary Jennings.

Family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to  3 p.m. on Sunday, February 10, 2019, at First United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to First United Methodist Church at 900 Arendell St., Morehead City, NC 28557.
