Paul C. Johnson, Sr., 87, of Morehead City, died Friday, May 1, 2015 at his home surrounded by family.
A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Sunday at Parkview Baptist Church with Rev. David Mills and Rev. Michael Fields officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
Paul was a member of Parkview Baptist Church, and a loving husband for 67 years. He retired from MCAS Cherry Point and Navy Supply.
He is survived by his wife Marie Johnson of the home; a daughter Joyce Wells of Powells Point, NC; sons Paul Curtis Johnson, Jr. of Newport, Jimmy Johnson of Newport, and David Johnson of Newport; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents James and Cora Johnson.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
