Patrick Conner

Col. US Army, Retired, Patrick Conner, 71, of Morehead City, died Saturday, May 1, 2010, at his residence.
Mr. Conner was a member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church. He served in the US Army for 33 years, receiving the Bronze Star with 2nd Oakleaf Cluster, Distinguished Service Metal, Army Commendation Metal 2nd Oakleaf Cluster, Meritorious Service Metal 2nd Oakleaf Cluster, Vietnam Service Metal, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm, Air Metal, Army Achievement Metal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, and numerous other Metals of service.
Services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Beaufort with Father John Carlisto officiating. Interment will follow in Bayview Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Nancy L. Conner; three children, Patrick D. Conner, Jr. and wife Robin of Lubbock, TX, Kathryn L. Conner of Manhattan, KS and Jonathan R. Conner of Junction City, KS; six grandchildren, Michael L. Conner, Austin Reed Conner, Ryan Patrick Conner, Brenden R. Conner, Shelby Lynn Conner-McCain and Shannon Forde Conner; brothers, John Thomas Conner and Allen Alvis Conner, both of Morehead City; sister, Eleanor Buckingham of Morehead City and mother, Theora Alvis Conner of Morehead City.
He was preceded in death by his father, John T. Conner, a sister, Sue Spears, and a brother, Michael Conner.
The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday at Munden Funeral Home.
