Patricia "Patty" Ann (Gibbs) Lassek

Patricia “Patty” Ann Gibbs Lassek, 82, of Otway, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at her home.

Patty was a longtime member of the Gloucester Extension. She was the owner of several craft shops including The Craft Basket, Down East Crafts and Something Special, specializing in local handmade items.  She was a talented and creative arts-and-crafts person, exhibiting at numerous craft festivals over the years.

She loved music and began piano lessons while in her 70’s.  She was a generous friend and hosted countless dinner parties, and always supported every weekend B-B-Que fundraiser down east.  Her passion for game shows, yard sales and toasted cheese sandwiches was legendary.  She will be remembered as smart, clever and a funny force of nature.

Patty was a devoted mother and “Nana” to the grandkids. The family dogs were dedicated to Patty, most recently Simon and Santana were always by her side.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur M. Lassek, Jr.; daughters, the Honorable Robin Adams Anderson of Raleigh, NC and Jody McGillivray of Beaverton, OR; grandchildren, John “Jack” Anderson and Amara McGillivray.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Bunny Gibbs.
