Patricia H. Hale, 78, of Newport, went home to the Lord on March 3, 2018 at Croatan Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Callers are welcome to join the family in celebrating her remarkable life on Saturday, March 17 at 3:00 pm at Munden Funeral Home Chapel in Havelock.
Everyone who had the good fortune to know the late Patricia H. Hale, would likely agree that she was one of the strongest, smartest and fiercest ladies in this world.
In her eclectic life she lived up and down the East Coast from central New York to the Carolinas. She worked everywhere from IBM, where she was an executive secretary and star softball pitcher to Wyndham Resorts where she helped others find the joy in numerous vacation destinations. She ran multiple family businesses while simultaneously raising two children and caring for the family horse farm in Greene, NY. She passed up an invitation from the LPGA to do so. At various times in her life she enjoyed cocktail parties, charity events, and showing horses from New York to Virginia. When she wasn’t riding, she was supporting her two children when they were. Given the opportunity, she could always be found poolside, or on the beach in her down time. She had a way of taking in strays; whether they be dogs, cats or people with nowhere else to go, and passed that on to both her children.
She is survived by her children Wade Hale and Tara Hale, her grandson Lucas Kroeplin and her daughter in law Wendy Hale.
Please let her be remembered in a joyous manner, as that would be her wish.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patricia’s name to the Autism Research Institute, 4182 Adams Avenue, San Diego, CA 92116 for her grandson Lucas or to the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation, 200 South Park Road, Suite 100, Hollywood, FL 33021 to help fight the ravages of the disease.
