Patricia H. Tucker

Patricia H. Tucker, 66, of Swansboro, passed away Wednesday, February 27­, 2019, at her home.

Her graveside service will be held 12:00 noon Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh, NC.

Patricia was a retired registered nurse who used her skill and compassion to help many hurting people over the years. She applied that skill and determination in other areas of her life as well. Especially in her former role as president of North Carolina C.O.P.S. which is a program that was established to help rebuild the shattered lives of survivors and co-workers affected by line-of-duty deaths. Along with that she was also involved in her community as a member of the Wake County Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 41.

She is survived by her sons, Chad Tucker and wife Vicki of Mountain Top, PA and Matthew Tucker and companion Cassandra Humphrey of Swansboro; and grandchildren, Olivia, Claire and Scarlett Rose.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark R. Tucker; parents, Willard and Beulah Harper; and brother, Bill Harper.
