Patricia Ann (Carroll) Shamblin

Patricia "Pat" Shamblin, 82, of Newport, died Friday, April 4, 2014 at Croatan Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Monday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gene McClendon officiating.
Ms. Pat is survived by a son Matt Shamblin and wife Deborah of Newport; five grandchildren Jesica Jacobs of Henderson, SSgt. David Matthew Shamblin, Jr. of Texas, William Edward Shamblin of Newport, Jackie Lynn Shamblin of Florida, and Cory Dane Shamblin of Georgia; and eigth great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Shamblin, and her parents Harvey and Iva Carroll.
The family will receive friends following the service.
