Patricia "Pat" McClain

Patricia “Pat” McClain, 85, of Morehead City, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Crystal Coast Hospice House.

Pat was born on May 13, 1938, in Raleigh, North Carolina, to the late Ernest and Lola Horton. She dedicated her life to the real estate industry, which was her passion. Pat lived in Hampstead and served the Topsail area in her real estate work. She also lived in the D.C. area and had the privilege of working alongside Senator John East.

In addition to her passion for her work, Pat found joy with the love of her life, her beloved dog Marshmallow. They shared an unbreakable bond that brought light and warmth to her life. May her life continue to inspire us to pursue our dreams with dedication and kindness.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her stepdaughters, Michelle Gregory, and Kim Jones; stepson, Russell McClain; and close friend, Sue Freeman.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Harold McClain; and her brother Freddie Horton.
