Patricia Eyre

Pat Eyre, 69, of Morehead City, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024, at her home.

A graveside service to honor Pat’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 7th at Cedar Grove Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Donald Thomas. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday, February 6^th at Munden Funeral Home. 

Pat was born on July 11, 1954, in Morehead City, to the late Clifton and Irene Glover. She was a true lover of the ocean, cardinals, lighthouses, and pelicans, she found peace in the sounds of the waves and the graceful flight of birds. Pat enjoyed being in nature and was an avid birdwatcher. She thrived when she was designing flowers, proving just how creative she truly was. 

To quote Pat, she enjoyed what she called “The Ride Around the World”, which consisted of her cruising down Front Street in Beaufort looking for horses and pelicans. Then continuing her ride to Harkers Island to the point and ended her scenic tour in Mill Creek.  In her spare time, she loved thrift store shopping for hidden gems. Pat loved the tranquility of Cades Cove or sharing stories by the fireplace. Above all, Pat held her family dear, considering them her greatest treasure. The love she poured into her children's and grandchildren’s lives will forever remain a testament to the warmth and care she showed. May her memory be a source of comfort to us all.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Bear Eyre of the home; daughter, Tiffany Mann of Havelock, NC; and sons, Dr. Travis Mann (Michelle) of Pittsboro, NC, and Tyron Mann of Newport, NC.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her son, Tim Mann; and sisters, Ramona Taylor, Linda Guthrie, and Margaret Walrath.
