Patti Duquesne

Patti Duquesne, 65, of Havelock, North Carolina, passed away at her home on Thursday, October 24, 2024.

A funeral service to honor Patti’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 31st at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Wednesday, October 30th at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City. For those unable to attend, the service can be viewed through her obituary page on Munden Funeral Home’s website. The service will remain on the Funeral Home website for 90 days.

Patti was born on July 23, 1959, in Camden, New Jersey, and was the beloved daughter of the late William and Violet Umba. She was a radiant spirit who loved getting lost in a good book, and her knack for solving puzzles was a testament to her sharp mind and quick wit. An avid fan of science fiction, Patti found joy in the interstellar adventures of Star Wars, the charm of Mandalorian tales, and the thought-provoking narratives of Star Trek.

For over 15 years, she brought her warmth and enthusiasm to the Moose Lodge in Havelock, where she formed lasting friendships and became a cherished part of the fabric of the community.

Patti will be fondly remembered as a wonderful sister and a loving family member, whose warmth and kindness left a lasting impact on those who knew her. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her sister, Denise Kostecki of New Bern, NC; stepdaughter, Penny Evans of Maine; stepgrandson, Zachary Evans; 6 nieces and nephews; numerous great nieces and nephews; her cuddly cat, Daisy.

In addition to her parents, Patti was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Lee Gramley; brother, Dennis William Umba; and her brother-in-law, Andrew Kostecki.
