Patricia Robinson Barnett

Patricia Robinson Barnett, 83, of Morehead City, North Carolina, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at Carteret Health Care.

A funeral service to honor Patricia’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, December 2nd at Munden Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service. 

Patricia was born on March 17, 1941, in Morehead City, NC, to the late Alton and Drusilla Robinson. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, and she greatly appreciated her church family at First Free Will Baptist Church. 

As the first female Parts Manager at Johnson Automotive in New Bern, Patricia made a significant impact in her profession, earning respect and admiration for her extensive knowledge and helpfulness to her valued customers.

Beyond her professional achievements, Patricia possessed a wealth of talents. She was an accomplished crocheter, creating beautiful blankets that she gifted to esteemed individuals such as Michael Jordan, Elizabeth Taylor, and John Madden. A passionate cook, she delighted in preparing meals for her family and friends, showcasing her love through her culinary skills. Patricia’s competitive side was seen during her days in her Bowling League, where she cherished both the sport and the friendships it fostered. Known for her impeccable style, she always presented herself with grace and fashion, no matter the occasion.

Patricia was a loving mother, devoted sister, and cherished daughter. In response to her mother’s illness, she earned her Certified Nurse’s Assistant Certificate to ensure she could provide her mother with the best possible care. Her caring and generous nature were seen in all aspects of her life, standing as a testament to her character. Even in the difficult times of her illness, Patricia maintained a positive outlook, inspiring those around her with her resilience and unwavering spirit. 

Patricia had an unending love for her children and grandchildren, who she cherished with all her heart. She will be remembered not only for her accomplishments but for the profound impact she had on the lives of those who knew her. 

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her daughter, Melanie Caprara (Andy) of Vanceboro, NC; son, Robert Anthony Pagano Jr. of Morehead City, NC; brother, Alton Parker Robinson II of Beaufort, NC; grandchildren, Cam Caprara and Alex Caprara; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her sisters, Frances Krouse, Iris Scheper, and Freda Guerin.
