Parker was born on July 22, 2010, in Morehead City, NC, to Jeffrey and Amanda Hassell. As a young boy he always had a sensitive heart toward the Lord. As the years continued, he grew in his faith and developed a solid relationship with the Lord. He loved being on the Praise Team at his home church, Parkview Baptist Church where he was actively involved with the Saltlight Student Ministry.
Music held a special place in Parker's heart. Along with being on the church praise team, he loved going to concerts and always sang in the shower, belting out his favorite tunes.
Parker’s pastimes included playing video games where he enjoyed the challenge and success of the win. Nothing was more special for Parker than spending time with his father whether they went shooting or fishing, he was always happy whatever the activity. Among his favorite foods were tacos which he generously topped with sour cream.
Parker was intelligent and hardworking, he always welcomed a challenge which he tackled with ease. He was eagerly anticipating high school and was looking forward to participating in the Scholastic Leadership Academy at West Carteret High School.
With a sense of humor that kept everyone in good cheer, Parker’s ever-present smile would brighten the room.
