Otis "Frank" Cannon

O. Francis (FRANK) Cannon of Morehead passed away September 17, 2013 at Crystal Coast Hospice House, Newport after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

Frank was born at Morehead City Hospital April 8, 1963. His father was Ivey Cannon and his mother was Mattie Gray Glancy Cannon. The Youngest of 10, He is survived by three brothers : George Cannon of South Carolina; Ivey Cannon of Bridgeton, NC; Johnnie Cannon of Richlands, NC; and two sisters : Minnie Harrell of Emerald Isle, NC and Laverne Fournier of Tennessee.

Frank was an honorary member of the Atlantic Beach Fire Department and served for years in different capacities with Rescue Services and was immensely proud of his service to his community. Frank was a longtime employee of Lennie and Joy Griffith (Carteret Cab Company) and considered everyone there as "family" as well as special friends - Cara Harris and Randi Bell. David Keith Pelletier and his wife, Michele, Lynne Pelletier , Lisa Pelletier Harman and her husband Bob Harman, Lori Pelletier, Carole Pelletier and the rest of his extended Pelletier family - Nieces and Nephews, Randy Jackson, Rob Harman, Jennifer and Jeremy Gillikin, Brianna and Cameron Pelletier, and especially Laurana and Harper Gillikin and Zoe Pelletier - will also miss and remember Frank (also known as Frankie, Frankard, Frankman ) with great love.

There will be a service at Munden's Funeral Home, Morehead City Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to the Crystal Coast Hospice House, 100 Big Rock, Weigh, Newport, N.C. 28570 in Frank's honor. The family would be appreciate it as that facililty and employees/nurses/aides/doctors were compassionate and phenomenal in Frank's battle with cancer.
