Oris E. Ballard, Jr. 62, of Morehead City, passed away Monday, October 9, 2017 at Pruitt Health Care.
The family will be celebrating his life at a private ceremony.
Oris graduated from the University of Alabama in 2006 with a Bachelors of Arts degree, majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies in Humanities.
He is survived by his father, Oris E. Ballard, Sr. of Houston, MO; sister, Cindy Rivas of Newport; brothers, Jeffrey Ballard and wife, Sherry of Wilmington, Bryan Ballard of Eugene, OR; nephews, Christopher Lucas and wife Jessica, Jeffrey Ballard, Jr., David Ballard and wife Stephany, Darrel Ballard, Ryan Ballard.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Valarie Ann Ballard and grandmother, Nina P. Powers.
