Oreanda "June" Chambers

Oreanda “June” DiPietrantonio Chambers, 85, entered into eternal peace on Friday, October 2, 2015, at the UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC.
A funeral service will be held 10:00 am Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Annunciation Catholic Church in Havelock, NC. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park in Morehead City, NC.
June was born on March 13, 1930 in Portland, Maine, daughter of the late Antonio and Mary DiPietrantonio. She was predeceased in 2009 by her beloved husband of almost 50 years, Myron W. Chambers of Newport, NC.
June was known to have the gift of giving. She was a very kind and gentle soul. She had a loving and generous heart; and was always giving to others above and beyond. Small in statute but with a heart big enough to encompass any who were lucky enough to be near her.
She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her children; Clifford Chambers of Newport, NC; Deborah Whaley of Knightdale, NC; Sandy Choate and her husband David Choate of Newport, NC; Sharon Tetterton of Newport, NC; Marvin Chambers and his wife Sarah Chambers of Dunn, NC; and Wayne Chambers of Newport, NC. She is also survived by her 14 adoring grandchildren and 16 precious great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends and relatives at Munden Funeral Home on Friday, October 9th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
