Oleta H. (Haskett) Garner

Oleta H. Garner, 95, of Newport, died Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Britthaven of Newport.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday at Soundview Original Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Grady Simpson officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Jacox (Gilbert) of Morehead City and Irene King (Arnold) of Beaulaville; two sons, Quinton Williams (Ann) and Rodney Williams (Phyllis) all of Newport; stepson, Jerome “Jerry” Garner (Carol) of Raleigh; two sisters, Doris Rouse of Cedar Point and Faye Green of Newport; two brothers, Junius Haskett and Eugene Haskett both of Newport; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Arnold Williams, second husband, E. Jerome Garner and brother, Ivey V. Haskett.
The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday at the church.
