Nydia Yvette Jones, 54, of Havelock, NC, passed away Thursday, October 06, 2016, at her home.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm at Life Point Church on Monday, October 10, 2016, with Pastor Ray Conner officiating.
She was born in Chicago, and spent her childhood in both Chicago and Puerto Rico. She met her husband in Puerto Rico, then moved to Jacksonville, FL. She also lived in Hawaii, and Great Lakes, before settling in Havelock, NC, where she has remained for 25 years. She was a Health Benefits Advisor for Cherry Point Hospital and a volunteer EMT for the Bridgeton V.F.D. She enjoyed gardening, cooking Puerto Rican food, and her monthly Bunko Games. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who put her family above all else.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Ancil Jones; daughter, Julie Jones of Havelock; son, Christopher Jones and wife Kristen; grandchildren, Jeremy, Makai and Penelope, all of York, PA; brothers, Felipe Crespo and Jaime Crespo.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother.
