Norwood "Chapel" Piner

Norwood “Chapel” Piner, 73, of Beaufort, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017, at Carteret Health Care.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Monday, March 27, 2017, at Munden Funeral Home Chapel in Morehead City. Interment will follow the service at Victoria Cemetery in Marshallberg.
Chapel and his incredible sense of humor will truly be missed by all who knew him. The time that he spent with his siblings, grandchildren, and all of his family was most precious to him.
He is survived by his daughter, Gina Griffin of Beaufort; brother, Robert B. Piner and wife Susan of Morehead City; grandchildren, John Allen and Laura Griffin; nephews, Robert Armour, James I. Piner, Jr, and Wes Piner; and nieces, Barbara Rowse, Sue Armour, Karen Greene, and Mary Willis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norwood and Ellen (Guthrie) Piner; brother, James I. Piner, Sr.; and sister, Lois Armour.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Munden Funeral Home.
