Norma Marie (Valkner) Coats

Norma V. Coats, 81, of Havelock, died Thursday December 20, 2012 at Cherry Point Bay Nursing Facility.
A memorial service will be held 7:00 pm Friday at Munden Funeral Home with Bishop Charles Kirwan officiating.
Mrs. Norma was born to the late Carl Emil Valkner, Sr., and Dorothy Valkner. She enjoyed crochetting, gardening, sewing, and baking/cooking. She was a member of Havelock Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years Larry Coats of Havelock: five daughters Jeanette Ford of Havelock, Juanita Sawyer and husband John of Michigan, Joyce Stowe and husband Gary of Washington, Janice Garcia and husband Herman of New Bern, and Joann Manley and husband Jack of Newport: two sons John Kiewiet and wife Giti of Florida, and Jeff Kiewiet and wife Lori of Florida: 18 grandchildren: 25 great grandchildren: one great great grandson: sister-in-law Jeanette Valkner of Michigan of Florida: and brother Edward Valkner of Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Jonnie Burns, a sister Camellia Valkner, and two brothers Carl Valkner, Jr. and John Valkner.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
