Nola Mae Willis, 96, of Harkers Island, passed away Monday, April 29, 2019, at Snug Harbor on Nelson Bay.
Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 3, 2019, at Free Grace Wesleyan Church, on Harkers Island, officiated by Rev. Clint Nelson and Rev. Patrick Whaley. Interment will follow at Vergie Mae Cemetery.
Nola was a lifelong member of Free Grace Wesleyan Church where she loved to worship. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.
She is survived by daughters, Veronica Starr Ayers and husband Curtis of Harkers Island and Suzette Kelly Lucas of Maxton, N.C. and; grandsons, Terry Yeomans and wife Vickie, Rodney Yeomans, Corey Long, Billy Gillikin and Michael Gillikin and fiancé Carrie Lynch; great-grand daughter, Tara Long; great-great-granddaughter, Piper Lenora Gillikin; great-great grandson, Ezekiel “Zeke” Long; many loving nieces and nephews; and close friends, Nancy Wells, Kim Lupton, Karen and Jack Rector, Michelle and Brian Moore and Louise and Brian Hauser.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Perry Willis; daughters, Perry Lou Willis, Angela Renee Willis; sisters, Sarah Ella Davis, Cora Guthrie, Clara Willis, Mabel Lawrence; brothers, Walter Davis, Henry Davis, Tilton Davis and Hubert Davis; sons-in-law, Phil Yeomans and Charles Lucas.
Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2019, at Munden Funeral Home.
