It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Nicole Noel Meyer on Thursday, March 30, 2023.
Nicole was born into a military family and moved around frequently as a child, but she always considered Jacksonville, Florida as home. Her fondest memories were of her Papa, and she loved sharing stories of him. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she cherished the warmth of a fire, the sight of Christmas decorations, the sound of Christmas songs, reindeer, and the joy of watching Hallmark Christmas movies. Nicole had a deep love for sunshine and the outdoors, and she enjoyed long motorcycle rides and dressing up for an evening out with her friends. She had a particular fondness for mini cows and dreamed of owning them one day.
Nicole had an unwavering love for her family and friends, and she always went out of her way to check up on people to make sure they were doing okay. Her heart overflowed with love for others. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, and she cherished every moment with them. Adah, her first-born daughter, born in 2005, lit the flame in Nicole’s heart for motherhood that burned so bright. When Emma was born in 2010, Nicole's love grew even stronger. Finally, in 2012, Ethan completed the family, and Nicole's heart swelled with love. Nicole's love for her children was unparalleled, and they will forever hold a special place in her heart.
Nicole is survived by her mother, Kathryn Harvey, and her older brother, Brandon Sease. Kathryn loved her baby girl from the moment she was born, with her shock of bright blond hair, until the time Nicole became a mother herself and every moment in between. She considered herself beyond blessed to not only be a mother to Nicole but also a grandmother to three wonderful children who embodied so much of Nicole's personality. Brandon and Nicole were 16 months apart in age and were very close, often joking about how much they looked like twins. Nicole loved to be around her brother, from picking and teasing him, to quiet moments sitting and watching a movie and falling asleep on the couch together. Brandon was fiercely devoted to his sister and would always be there whenever she needed him.
Nicole's radiance shined bright and touched the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Once she called you friend, she loved you without reservation. She was an amazing mother, a loving daughter, and a great sister. Our hearts will forever hold a place for Nicole, and we will fill these spaces with reminders of her that we find as we move through life. Every time we see a spring flower, feel the sunshine on our skin, or hear a familiar Christmas tune, Nicole's heart will be there.
Her funeral will be held at 3 pm, Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Munden Funeral Home in Havelock. The family will receive friends one hour prior. We extend our sincerest gratitude to everyone who can come to remember Nicole with us and to those who have been a part of her life.
