Nelva Squires

Nelva Bell Squires, 79, of Otway, passed away Monday, December 28, 2015 at Pruitt Health Care.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:30 pm Wednesday, December 30,2015 at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rich Denning officiating.

The world lost one of the sweetest, most gentle souls on December 28, 2015 with the earthly departure. Nelva enjoyed life on every level with her husband, best friend and soul mate of 61 years, Wesley Odell Squires. It was evident to all who knew her that this love was a rare and beautiful thing and the twinkle in Nelva’s eyes grew brighter each day as their love for each other endured the test of time. She touched the world in a positive light in many ways, leaving a legacy of faith, joy and love. Per Nelva’s wishes, family and friends will celebrate a life here well-lived by rejoicing with the family, as Nelva dances her way through Heaven’s gates to be forever with our Lord.

She is survived by her husband, Wesley Squires, Sr. of Sea Level; two daughters, Deborah Dian Squires of Otway, and Paula Squires-Ipock of Beaufort; son, Wesley “Tex” Squires, Jr. of Mount Holly; sister, Linda Lewis of Otway; also four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thurman and Nola Lawrence.

The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service at the funeral home.
