Natalie J. Young

June 20, 1918 — November 11, 2016

Natalie J. Young, 98, went home to be with her Lord on Nov. 11, 2016.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, December 12, 2016 at Glad Tidings Church with the Senior Pastor Tim Marriner & Pastor Shad Barrow presiding. Burial will be at a later date at Springfield National Cemetery, Springfield, MO.

She had a very long and memorable life. Born in Philadelphia, PA on June 20, 1918. She lived in Republic, MO & Stuart, FL.  She was dedicated to the love of her life, husband Joseph. L.Young, they had 45 years of marriage. Her husband Joe served in the U.S. Navy 23 years, as a Chief Petty Officer. During that time he spent many days on Aircraft Carriers, while she raised her children, carried on her family duties and enjoyed working part time. After they retired in Republic, MO she became a country girl, learning how to grow a garden, making her own tomato juice, canning the many vegetables and fruit they grew. She loved making new friends that she met at Bingo. When meeting someone new she would always say, "Hello, I'm Natalie Young & I'll always be Young!" Natalie loved dancing,cooking, the beach and always had the perfect tan.

She is survived by her Daughter, Natalie Vann Lindquist & husband Ron; Granddaughters, Theresa Merrell & Husband Gary, Kim Wade & Husband Monty, Donna Claud & Husband Robbie; Grandsons, Robert S. Clarke & wife Deana, James C. Clarke ll & wife Christy; Great-grandchildren, Clarke Merrell & wife Liza, Kira Merrell, Ryan Merrell, Erika Schadt & husband Chris, Victoria Clarke, James C. Clarke lll, Aubree Clarke, Logan Clarke & Melissa Durham; 5 Great-great Grandchildren; Sister, Elizabeth Matkowski; and many nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anne & Michael Wyshwaniuk; Husband, Joseph (Joe) Young; son, Joseph (Joey) Young; Sisters, Olga DuBree and Catherine Meers; and Brothers; Stephen Wyshwaniuk and Michael Wyshwaniuk.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Glad Tidings Church, "Forward Campaign", 4621 Country Club Road, Morehead City, NC.
