Nancy G. Ingram

Nancy G. Ingram, 79, of Harkers Island, passed away Saturday, June 9­, 2018 at Harbor View Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 11, 2018 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, officiated by Bishop B.L. Marcom. Interment will follow at Vergie Mae Cemetery.

Nancy D. was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on August 27, 1946. She was married in the Salt Lake Temple on August 30, 1957 to Garlon E. Ingram. Nancy D.  held various callings in the Church; Secretary of Sunday School when she was in the 8th grade, she has been the Relief Society President, but her love was working as the Primary President. She loved to hear the primary songs and the children give their talks and listen to their prayers. She loved to organize things, whether it be work around her house or a vacation trip, she had everything to it’s place.  She planned her service back in 2016, all the songs, prayers, and speakers.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Garlon Ingram, of the home; daughters, Rebecca Ingram of Gloucester, Susan Piner and husband, Michael Ray of Williston; sister, Zina Marie Guthrie of Beaufort; brothers, Willard Guthrie and wife, Sybil, of Otway, Heber Guthrie and wife, Diane, of Gloucester; grandchildren, Falyn Rivenbark and husband, Trey, Michael Fulton Piner, Kathryn Nan Piner; great-grandchildren, Charles Preston Styron, Beau Thomas Rivenbark; special niece, Meredith Guthrie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Chauncey and Dorothy Guthrie; niece, Karen marie Mehegan; and nephew, Bryce Lamont Mehegan.

Family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, June 11, 2018 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
